My tip today for saving money is....
Don't always settle for the first price given to you by newspapers, cable or anyone else that has competition. If you feel that the price they give you is too high, contact them and ask for a better price. Most companies always have great deals for new customers only.

I read an article that said it costs seven times more to get a new customer than to keep an existing one.

I think they should treat their existing customers better! If you have been a loyal subscriber to a company for years, don't you think you should be rewarded? Call them and tell them so. If they really value you as a customer, they should try to make you happy.
