Saving Money Mommy's Tuesday Tip- Research for the Best Price

My tip for the day is to make sure you are getting the best price available when shopping online.  Our dishwasher started acting up last week.  My husband and I figured out which part needed to be replaced by researching online, posting on appliance message boards and taking the dishwasher apart ourselves.  It really was not an excruciating as it sounds and it saved us an automatic $75 (the price of the repair person just to come to our house).  I had the part number and went online to order it.  I found a place and thought $80 was a reasonable price to pay.  Before I press that BUY button, I always do a little research to make sure I'm getting the best price.  I googled that part number and ended up finding out that the price fluctuation for this part ranges from $52 to $131.  That is a huge difference!  I went with the company who was charging $52 and they also had great online chat help.  It pays to do your research.
Go out today and get a great deal!
