Meat is generally expensive, and it's not very often you can get a good deal when buying meat. I only buy meat when it's on sale. Some grocery stores also discount meat with a Sell By Date that is quickly approaching. I've seen packages of steak at Sweetbay Supermarket with the Sell By Date for the next day and $5.00 off coupons on top of the package. I spoke with a store employee and she said they discount meat daily. They had many packages with coupons in various amounts. If you can't use the meat immediately, you can freeze it. You can save a significant of money this way.
