If you are like me and print a lot of internet coupons, you may be using a lot of ink. Most printer ink is very expensive. I tried the ink refill kits to save money and made a big mess. The only thing I can do right now without getting a laser printer (which I hear is the best option for printing coupons) is to conserve ink the best I can.
Always set your printer on black (or grayscale) printing only. You also need to set the quality level to the lowest which is called "Fast Draft" on my printer. That will use up the least amount of ink. If you need to print out something fancy, you can always change it. I set my printer to grayscale only, but for some reason the coupons kept printing out in color. I have two cartridges (color and black). I took the color cartridge out and left the black in. My printer constantly blinks and says "Insert Color", but I'm now printing out the coupons in the less expensive black ink only.
